Gallium nitride (GaN) power components are more compact than silicon (Si). Higher efficiency, faster switching speeds, and greater power density.
Higher Breakdown Voltage: GaN has a breakdown field ten times greater than silicon (3.3 MV/cm vs. 0.3 MV/cm). This means GaN devices can withstand much higher voltages in a smaller physical space.
Faster Switching Speeds: GaN transistors can switch on and off at several megahertz compared to hundreds of kilohertz silicon.
Lower Power Losses and Heat Generation: GaN devices exhibit lower on-resistance and fewer switching losses
